Napoleon Dynamite Titles Research

Napoleon Dynamite Titles Research

T1) MTV films from 0.03-0.07 (4 seconds)

Here you can see the logo 'MTV FILMS' and it is in a written felt tip pen style with a crinkled piece of paper in the background. This suggests the film to be on school children or set in a school its self.

T2) Fox Searchlights & Paramount Pictures from 0.09-0.14 (4 seconds)

This is the second title, as you can see its from 'Fox Searchlight & Paramount Pictures'. Yet again the font and background stay the same suggestion the same school setting aimed for younger children.

T3) Napoleon Dynamite from 0.15-0.25 (10 seconds)

Here you have the name of the film 'Napoloen Dynamite'. As you can see there is colour involved now, the colour and also the amount of time it is on the screen for (10 seconds) suggests this is an important title and warrants a lot of attention drawn to it.

T4) Directed by Jared Hess from 0.26-0.31 (5 seconds)

Title 4 is about the director and it goes back to the normal font suggesting it isn't so important.

T4) Produced by Jeremy Coon and others from 0.32-037 (5 seconds)

Yet again the name of producers are not so important as the font hasn't changed and it is only on for 5 seconds in comparison to 10 with the title of napoleon dynamite.

T5) Written by Jarred Hess &Jerusha Hess from 0.41-0.45 (4 seconds)

No change in font or background just noticeable that they are both related.

T6) John Heder from 0.48-0.52 (6 seconds)

Change of text however there is nothing saying what John Heder's involvement in the film is.

T7) John Gries from 0.53-0.57 (4 seconds)

Same text suggesting the same role they play however they don't say what there involvement is.

T7) Eferen Ramirez from 0.59- 1.02 (3 seconds)
Yet again there is the same text, no change in this title apart for the time length suggesting he isn't as important.

T8) Aaron Ruell from  1.03-1.08 (5 seconds)

Same text again suggesting all these people have the same relevance to the film.

T9) Deidrich Bader from 1.09-1.13 (4 seconds)

Same font and background. No change.

T10) Music by John Swihart from 1.14-1.19 (5 seconds)

This is a mixture of font. Suggesting that the music is more important as there is a different font and also is on for longer than the others.

T11) Cinematography by Munn Powell from 1.20-1.25 (5 seconds)

As you can see there is a mixture of font again. The name 'Munn Powell' is in bold suggesting that his name is more important than his role.

T12) Editing by Jeremy Coon from 1.25-1.30 (5 seconds)
Title 12 is exactly the same with the difference in font suggesting the same as title 11 and 10.
