Juno Experience Reflection
What did you learn about filming and editing?
Firstly I found out how difficult it was to get the precise and accurate shots that are required of you. I learnt all about the camera angles needed to be used like 'Extreme close up','mid long shot', to name just a few. Also the biggest thing I learnt was to over shoot so when it comes to editing you have enough film to cut.
Did you use any useful effects?
We used one effect in the clip. This effect was very useful as it linked into the Juno opening. I cant remember the name of the effect however it gave a 'cartoon' effect to the clip. This was useful as the whole opening sequence for Juno was done in cartoon.
What went well in terms of editing?
In terms of editing there was lots of cropping and cutting down of the clips to make it fit as close to the Juno clip as possible. I thought that as a result of this the cutting was very successful; making sure we over filmed was key to this. Also a general point was that it was good to get used to Premier.
What could have gone better?
I personally feel that the transitions between shots could have been better as in our clip it just jumped from one shot to another, where as in the Juno opening the transitions flowed making sure the camera was panning left to right, tilting up and down.
